Totally tought this was a remix

Pretty cool egyptian sounding scale that you used. The beats good, the snare stands out to me a little bit, a little to harsh in the part with clavi or harpsichord or w/e you're using for the main melody. That's my opinion though. And this one is really cool, but since I haven't listened to all of your stuff yet, I can say for sure what should go on a CD, I actually made one yesterday of the stuff of mine that I like the most ^_^" so I think you should pick the songs that represent your style the best though, and you think people like. :)

-_-

Awesome. I was so relaxed listening to it. And something that really made me love it for whatever reason was when the bass was just hitting every beat and, (as it appeared to me) the hihat was panning back and forth. It was awesome, I just tilted my head back and listened to it.

It makes my day (or night rather) when people really listen and enjoy my stuff.

Thanks so much for listening, i'll give you a look :)

My suggestion

I love the music, your vocals need some work.

My suggestion, breathe in to your chest. Sing from the stomach. Hard to explain. But it sounds a little nasally which is why I suggest that. I like the lyrics. Bring it down a little bit on the volume. Also, don't forget you can always add effects on it. The best do it, you can do it too.

You can do it, you just need to practice. Something you can do also is to work on your breathing. first, breathe in for 4 beats, then out for 4 beats. Repeat this a couple of times, then change it to breathing in for 3 beats and out for 4 beats. Repeat, keep doing this until you are breathing in for 1 beat out for 4 beats. Then as you increase your lung capacity, change the 4 beats you're breathing out to a higher number. I was a musician and in high school there were people able to breathe in for 1 beat and out for over 10 beats, so it's just something to work on.

Furthermore, I like the lyrics (and I know the usage of the furthermore was incorrect). I think you could be a really good singer, and feel free to PM me whenever, I get on relatively often.

Seriously though, I like the song, it's really nice. I hope you keep producing soungs like this.

Well that sums up my longest review yet, I hope you learned something from me :D I also hope that was putting it nicely enough XD

DJVigil responds:

Thank you very much for your review, I'm very flattered you that you can see some potential talent in me, and thank you very much for your advice, I'll try and use it ^_^

I gave it a five

While it appears someone gave it a 0, I gave it five cause it deserves it.

Wanessie responds:

Thank you!

AMBIENCE ambience ...amdbience...

I like it, it's very ambient, with a nice melody. Thumbs up. :D And if you think no one listens to your stuff then just check your listens

NickKaedallus responds:

Thanks for the review!

BTW, you can't really know, especially on times when Zerobombing happens a lot ;D

But thanks again for your support :D

Rock On!

ZERO

not really, but this song was interesting. And the zero bombers are just trolls. So just ignore them. I've been hit a few times myself, I just don't care though cause if it's a good song it'll recover.

MazinMark responds:

Thank you, hopefully my song will survive the swarm of zero bombers so that people may enjoy it :)

Ze Best

Fucking love. This one is the best hands down... For a rave party. Though I think 2 is the most musically techincal. Overall, I like this one the most though. Sweet series OL, I love it. Keep it up.

OpenLight responds:

Thanks! Retroman and I may be making a part 5 on this. I've wanted to collab with him for a while, and since this is based loosely on his Mount Revenant song, we figured it'd be cool to collab on the final part.

What I like to hear

This is what I like to hear in a song like this. Uniqueness. This isn't just a bunch of arpeggios and such. It has a unique sound. I can honeestly say, I would probably be able to recognize one of your songs if it was lined up with other 8-bit songs. I love it when the drums kick in too. It makes it like a techno song. Overall, a good job on the drums, though I think you need to mess around with drum patterns, while bass beats on 1 2 3 4, and snare on 2 4 is cool, it needs to be varied. It seems like that's your fall back drum beat. Though this is coming from a drummer so I guess maybe I care more about it then others would.

OpenLight responds:

Ha no I just decided to make it more of a techno beat than a rock beat, though I love rock beats personally.

Also, this song has one of my favorite solos out of any of my songs ever. Quick Descent 3 has probably my favorite solos.

Beautifully Done

I think you did exactly what you wanted too. I have no real complaint, since, luckily, these sounds don't bother me with their pitch..y...ness. Anyway, it's sweet, I can see this one fitting in a game also.

OpenLight responds:

Thanks Prex! This is my least favorite part, but I like all of the parts, so that's more like saying it's near the top of my list of my favorite personal submissions but below the other parts of this song.

Having not listened to all of your stuff

Like someone >_> lol, I like it, it's 8-bitty. And I like 8-bitty. Sounds cool. I really have no complaint about it. You really have shown what kind of stuff can be done with 8-bit music. Though I'd have to say, you sound very similar to other 8-bit stuff I've heard. A lot of arpeggios. So just vary it up a little bit. Overall, I like it though.

OpenLight responds:

Thanks! Normally I put my solos in my songs a lot earlier than the one in this. Had I done it earlier, it would have sounded a bit better. Instead it isn't until about 2:15.

Thanks for the review!
